Good blades for practice

I recently ordered two new StM blades for my teenager's practice weapons, both for French grips. He had broken one and bent the other badly. They came promptly, and he was able to quickly fit the blades to his grips and has had no trouble bouting in the club.

I asked for a couple of stiff StM blades and Fencing Post picked them right on the money for me. I'm happy with blades' quality and durability since I knew I was not purchasing a marraging still blade. I am, however, surprised at how quickly they begin to show signs of rust. The blue verity is a better choice if rust bothers you. They are probably the best non-marraging blades on the market and in my opinion they work fine on a practice weapon.

I had ordered a plane epee blade. I got a call informing me that the particular item I had ordered was out of stock. The customer service person I talked to was very helpful in my selection of an alternate blade as well as educating me about various suppliers. The blade was just what I needed. The Fencing Post is my new go to source.
