Great blade, but problematic point assembly

I ordered this blade complete with a new style screwless point. WHile the blade itself was exactly what I'd expect from Uhlmann and the tang cut and bend was just right for me, the point wiring was problematic. In the first warm-up bout I noticed that few touches have not registered. After on-strip testing I found that at a certain twist angle the point wouldn't complete the circuit. I took the weapon to the armorer and he (Matthew) discovered that the wire contact plates inside the point were not flash with each other. After grinding and polishing the plates, the weapon worked perfectly for the rest of the tournament.
