  1. Great Setup 5 Star Review

Posted by on 31st Aug 2017

I've been using a few other styles of french grips for a while, but kept hearing about these karma grips. I had bought a weapon from FP back in 2010 that has held up for years, so figured I'd give it a try. I was not disappointed. I had got the aluminum handle with the medium weight, and the blade feels perfectly balanced. I only wish I ordered the lightweight guard, but it still feels great. The pommel is large, but feels natural in the hand and not too heavy. Able to stop hit/ post well with the stiff version of the blade. The grip itself is large, but not huge, feels just right (I'm a 5'10" male with pretty normal size hands for reference) and the cant was.The only "issue" I guess I have is that I gave my top 3 color choices for the grip and received my 3rd choice when the other colors were advertised in another picture. Oh well, not a big deal. Very happy with the purchase overall, would definitely recommend!

  2. Great setup! with a few issues.. 4 Star Review

I had been wanting to switch back to fencing with a french grip after using visconti grips for about 4 years. After playing around with one of these Karma grips at a NAC, I was completely sold. I purchased 2 complete set ups and couldn't have been happier upon receiving my new blades. However, shortly after use I had wire issues with one blade easily remedied. Unfortunately, the next issue was with the rubberized pommel. The rubberized coating is essentially a rubber tube stretched across the metal pommel. After it took about a month or so of wear the tube split and fell off the pommel, leaving me with a shiny, but mildly overpriced pommel.. Other than those issues, I loved the feel of this set up! The Karma grips themselves are amazing for anyone looking for a good french set up.
