Not completely smooth

The metal material they use to form this grip has pock marks in areas, bumps, and sharp edges where the screw attaches to the blade. So, it's not entirely smooth, unlike other grips. However, one nice feature is the hash marks on the grip where your thumb rests. It adds a bit more grip and stability.
