Kempa Attack Pro – Unleash your footwork!

My son loves these shoes. He currently wears ASICS size 4.5. Fencing Post was kind enough to let him try different Kempa shoes to find the right size in the store. He said size 5.5 was a little tight but size 6 was just slightly bigger, but with the heel cups, size 6 shoes are perfect for him. Thanks!

Second pair of these! They do run small though. We bought 1 1/2 sizes up.

This was a purchase for my son. Having worn out numerous athletic shoes over the years, we decided to spend the extra money and try a true fencing shoe. He has been fencing in them a few months and he is quite pleased with the shoe. The first thing he commented on was the "gripiness" of the shoe. In addition, the shoe provides excellent support. After two months, the shoes still looks as if they came out of the box. I had read reviews how this brand/model tends to run small. To get the proper fit, we purchased one full size larger than what he would normally wear. (Usually wears size 11/purchased size 12).

Shoes are tricky business, so I just list the advantages of Kempa Attack Grey and Blue shoes: (i) The sole is rather wide at the bottom, which provides full stability. (ii) If kept clean, the sole has a very good traction on any floor. (iii) Unlike Nike fencing shoes, the midfoot and toes sections of the shoe are wide enough for a comfortable fit (if your feet are narrow, you probably never felt a discomfort in Nike shoes). (iv) The cushioning across the bottom of the shoe and the heel support are quite sufficient and (v) The material and workmanship are solid.

According to my son, this is by far the best shoe he's had. Super supportive and comfortable. They are light and feel durable, like they will last much longer from the wear and tear.

5 years in Epee fencing wears women size 6.5 but bought size 6 in men Kempa. Kempa runs small so buy size 1 size to 1.5 size bigger. My daughter has been fencing for 5 years and this is her first fencing shoes we decided to splurge on. She usually wears Adidas Barricades and have been happy with it but she goes through 2 to 3 of them a year. She tried Kempa on at Nationals and instantly loved the comfort of the shoes. She used it right away at the tournament. She would have never done that with Adidas since she has to break them in. She fenced in 3 events with them and had no problems with the fit. Her lunges didn't make a scratch on the side that would be dragged across. It has an extra rubber looking protection specifically on that side at the top of the last hole where the shoelace would be tied. Because of the drag from the lunge, she has gone through shoelaces as well in the past. The rubber protects the shoelaces too! It's light and bouncy. Stitching looks clean and strong. The bottom had a nice grip so she didn't feel shoes were slippery. We hope these shoes will last her a full year.
Side note: She had tried on Nike and Adidas fencing shoes in the past, but didn't like the the fit of these shoes so we never bought them.
