Cant argue with a light end so you can change grip easily. A heavier pommel tends to weight shift too quickly. If you fence french grip, then you have to try an angle dropped pommel for comfort and extra extension. You will get more hits when opponents didn't expect you to reach extra 3 to 4 inches more.
