Linea "Super Grip" Glove with X-Treme Grip

These are my first gloves that have a grippy component as I have previously always used basic AF gloves. I find that they are a lot bulkier than I expected and am used to. It is a tight fit to my hand so the sizing is not off they are just large. I think it is all the padding along with the grippy material on the inside of the hand. Some people may prefer all the padding for protection but I find my hand is more cramped inside my grip than using my older thinner glove. I use a large Visconti grip and with that I was feeling like it needed to be larger if I wear these gloves. I may swap to a Belgian grip and see if that makes a difference. My final complaint is that the cuff around the glove is rather tight over the jacket and does not have a hole at the top for the cord to pass though. This is not a huge issue you can just run the cord though the Velcro but I do think it is an oversight on Linea's part. Overall the quality and durability seem very high and I like the added control that the grippy surfaces provide me.

I have piano hands (long, skinny fingers and a narrow palm) and the Fencing Post recommended these. I ordered a 7 1/2 Linea "Super Grip" and it had the same finger length of the size 8 Uhlmann "Champion Extra". As expected, the 7 1/2 Linea had a skinnier palm than the size 8 Uhlmann, so I kept the Linea "Super Grip". I'm deducting 1 star because the Linea "Super Grip" doesn't have the extra padding on the knuckles like the Uhlmann "Champion Extra".

Got one slightly larger than my son's current size in a different glove model but this glove was way too tight. He could barely get his hand into the glove, and then once he did the fingers were a little long but the rest of the glove was too tight.

I'm only about 4 months into fencing epee and have previously borrowed from the box of used gloves at the club, so this is my first personally owned glove. I have bought all my gear here from the 'post and they have been really good to me. This glove has amazing grip and it's not the little dots that will come off, but a tacky material stitched right onto the palm and inside of the fingers. When I wear these out I'm getting another pair!
