Great Product - runs big

I love the socks, they feel great and are probably the best fencing sock on the market at the moment.
HOWEVER: I am a 5'4" man with a size 8 shoe (wide foot). The 39-41 size is real big on me.
-There is extra room near the toes.
-The marking for where my heel should be is halfway up my Achilles tendon.
When fully pulled up the sock goes halfway up my thigh.
I acknowledge I'm not tall at all but beware these run bigger than you expect. Go one size smaller.

The highest high socks I've ever seen

I purchased a pair several months ago as a trial and am extremely impressed with them. They are a tight weave with plenty of toe room. They are a little snug and require some care to put on but are very comfortable. Most importantly, my size (42-44) come up over my knees by more than 4 inches (I am 5' 8") and stay put, even after hours of fencing. By far, the highest high socks I've even seen. My original pair has held up well to regular washings (with air drying) with no loss of performance. So good that I have bought additional pairs. I recommend them without reservation.
